Nina Macdonald Nina Macdonald is one of the principals of Pixelloom, which created this site. She and her husband are committed to reading to their two daughters. She has written most of the reviews that appear on this site. Rosemary Trowbridge has combined a career of teaching with a lifetime of working on equity issues for girls and women. Her experience, gained in Connecticut, Switzerland, California and Massachusetts, has been primarily in the 5th and 6th grades; she is now raising her two nieces, 8 and 12 years old. An account of her feminist teaching can be found in the book, "All in Our Places, Feminist Challenges in Elementary School Classrooms," by Carla Washbourne Rensenbrink. Julia C. Wan Julia Wan is a science educator with a strong commitment to equity. She has been a science researcher, high school teacher, and school district curriculum director and assistant superintendent. She had led the development and implementation of exemplary programs in science, mathematics, health and language arts. She has received local, state and national recognition for her work in science education and gender equity.
